Brandon Eckert: Teen missing from Pennsylvania Found

Brandon has been found safe.  A search plane using sensitive equipment spotted the teen on Sunday.  Brandon had been hiding in the wooded area since he escaped from his group home in West Chester on May 8th.  Other than being dehydrated and hungry, Eckert appeared to be healthy, according to police reports. Eckert was taken to Paoli Memorial Hospital to be checked out.

Missing Brandon Eckert, 16, from West Whiteland Township in Pennsylvania, who is mentally disabled was discovered missing during a bed check at his group home on the 700-block of King Road where he was a resident.

Police are asking the public’s assistance in locating him.
Eckert is between 5’5″ and 5’7″. He weighs approximately 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing faded jeans, socks and thin framed glasses.

Brandon Eckert was found hiding in the woods around midnight on Sunday. A search plane using sensitive equipment spotted the teen. Police say Eckert had been hiding in the wooded area since he escaped from his group home in West Chester on May 8th. Investigators say that they became concerned for his safety because of his developmental, medical and physical conditions. Other than being dehydrated and hungry, Eckert appeared to be healthy, according to police reports. Eckert was taken to Paoli Memorial Hospital to be checked out. Numerous agencies aided police in the search since Eckert first went missing. Those agencies include the FBI, Chester County Detectives, West Whiteland Fire Department, Pennsylvania State Police, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and several Chester County Police Departments…..
