UPDATE:  Sept. 23 –
Investigators said they found what they believe to be the body of 16-year-old Kennedy Fitzgerald McLaurin Jr. Saturday, digtriad news reports. The body was sent to the state medical examiner in Chapel Hill for identification.

Police also arrested and charged a fourth suspect in McLaurin’s murder. All four are being held without bond in the Wayne County Jail. They are still waiting on their first court appearances.

UPDATE:  Sept. 22 – Sgt. Dwayne Dean told a news conference Friday that investigators have issued an arrest warrant on an open count of murder for Leonard Eugene Joyner. He is wanted in the case of Kennedy Fitzgerald McLaurin Jr.

There’s an Amber Alert in effect for 16-year-old Kennedy McLaurin Jr.

Family members say they last saw 16 year-old Kennedy Mclaurin Jr. from Goldsboro, North Carolina, on Sunday.

Police say he was with a friend when they began a conversation with someone in a car, that’s when he was grabbed and stuffed in the car.

Goldsboro Police say he was abducted by four people. Investigators say they aren’t sure who those four people are.

Investigators are looking for an older model blue Buick or Lincoln. It was last seen driving north on Bain Street.
