“The father thinks it’s him,” said Andrew Holmes, a spokesman for the family of Austin Hudson-Lapore who disappeared near the lakefront last Wednesday. “The fisherman (who spotted the body) said this white Caucasian male resembles this young man.”
Austin left the apartment he shared with a roommate on the 5300 block of South Kimbark Avenue in Chicago after 8:30 p.m.
The family believes he walked to the lakefront to look at the storm. He left behind his cell phone and wallet so they wouldn’t get wet.
The Chicago Policer Dept. is going to search and drag the area around Promontory Point on Lake Michigan in case a wave during the storm swept Austin into the water.
Austin is 5’7″ tall, 110 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes and fair complexion. He was wearing blue jeans and black sneakers.
has been missing since Wednesday, June 12.
