UPDATE:  12/16/13/ – A body that was found in the ocean at Seacliff State Beach last Thursday was the body of missing Nathan.  His body was found by a fisherman.

Facebook post by the family: “Today it has been confirmed that the body found was Nathaniel Steel Phillips. My brother. An uncle. The prayers are monumental for our family, my mom, Betty, Dad and Darla all thank you for the hope, love and support shown here on this page. I will not be taking this page down. I might change the name to “remembering nathan,” and encourage all of you who are hurting as well to use the page to remember the extraordinary, beautiful souled person Nate was. I love you all, and I love you little brother.”

Previous story:  Nathan Phillips, 17, from Aptos, Calif. was last seen leaving on his bicycle on Dec. 2.
Nate Phillips“The last time Nate was seen, he said he was ‘going on an adventure,’ and left on his bike with limited supplies,” Deputy Ryan Kennedy said Thursday afternoon.
“Nate has never run away before,” Kennedy said. 

Phillips was last seen at his home on Victoria Lane about 8 p.m. Monday. He was reported missing about 6 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said.

Phillips is 5’7″ tall, weighs 124 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on Phillips’ whereabouts should call 831-471-1121.
