UPDATE 6/25/14 On June 5, two bodies were found in suitcases alongside N. Comom Road in the Town of Geneva.  One of the bodies has been identified as Laura Simonson, who has been missing from Minnesota since December 2013, according to WGN.

Steven Zelich, 52, of W. Allis was taken into custody in connection with the deaths.  The authorities are asking for help to identify the other victim.

Is this the same man?  Did Laura contact him on Craigslist?

She is described as possibly Caucasian, age 15 to 35, 5’2” – 5’4”, 120 – 140 lbs with long, straight dark brown or black hair. She has two piercings in each ear, and a quarter sized heart tattoo on the lower left abdomen/pelvic area.

Two suitcases with human remains have been found in the Town of Geneva in Wisconsin on Thursday, reports the Journal Sentinel.

The suitcases that were in a ditch and surrounded by weeds became noticeable when highway workers cut the grass in that area and moved them out to the road.  After the workers left, a call came in to the police department about the cases that were now very visible and surrounded by flies.   The police opened the cases and  found a decomposing body in each one.

So far, the authorities do not know who these remains belong to and have not stated or estimating how long they may have been in the ditch.

The authorities don’t believe the crime occurred in the community.
