Louis Anthony Mackerley missing from Allentown since 1984

Pictures of Louis Mackerley at age 7 and an age-progressed image from 2010 when he would have been 33.

Louis Anthony Mackerley was 7 years old at the time of his disappearance on June 7, 1984 from the 300 block of Chew Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

He came home from school that day and told his babysitter he was going to go to a friend’s house 2 doors away.  He never made it to that house.  Police believe a group of neighborhood boys chased him until he ran into a hot dog shop where he stayed for 45 minutes and then left.  Another report, which has never been confirmed or denied, has him talking to a man and a woman in a park about one block from his home at 4:30 p.m.  He was not reported missing until 11 p.m. as his mother was having surgery and he was being watched by an aunt, and because Louis usually stayed out until 9:30 p.m.

In January of that year, Louis told his parents, the school nurse and a psychologist that he had been molested by a couple named Frank and Elizabeth.  The Allentown police were notified and could not find evidence to warrant an investigation as Louis could not provide last names or locations.  It is unknown whether this event or events happened  and if they had anything to do with his disappearance.

Louis was 4 feet tall and 44 pounds at the time of his disappearance.  He had dark blonde/light brown hair and blue eyes.  He was missing 4 front teeth at the time of his disappearance.
