UPDATE 10/9/15 – The two boys have been found safe.  They were found 3-4 miles from the camp site. Dogs led searchers to the area where they were found.

Original story:  There are two boys missing at the Wolfe County Campground.

Michael Esposito, 5, from Batavia and his cousin Adrian Ross, 7, from Bloomington went missing on Thursday night around 6 p.m. from the Koomer Ridge campground near Mountain Parkway at Red River Gorge in Kentucky.

The family was cooking dinner and setting up their tent when the boys wandered of and went missing.

“I think it was a situation where both of them thought the other one was watching the boys. And there were five boys, all running around like crazy, and you know, if you see three of the five at any given time, you don’t necessarily realize that two of them are not there,” Julia Esposito, Michael’s mother, told LEX 18.

The five-year-old was last seen wearing an orange shirt and black and white checkered shorts.

The seven-year-old was last seen wearing a navy blue golf shirt, blue jeans, and blue Asics shoes.
