18-month-old boy missing from Florida; possibly walked away FOUND

UPDATE 11/2/15 – Sheriff Scott Israel announced the body of 18-month-old Vihaan was found in a Weston canal.

A 18-month-old boy has gone missing in Weston.  Vihaan Pullamsett from Tampa Bay was reported missing Sunday afternoon, Nov. 1, 2015

Vihaan was with his family visiting at the Racquet Club Apartments at 417 Lakeview Dr. in Weston when he went missing.  The family was preparing to leave after a weekend visiting their family when they realize Vihaan was missing.  They did their own search for about 20 minutes before they called 911.

There have been reports he usually takes a nap in the afternoon.  Another report from a neighbor said Vihaan’s mother was changing his diaper and had walked away to throw it away, when she came back he was gone, so it is not clear if he walked away from the apartment or what happened.  There were also reports there were around 10 children at the apartment that afternoon for a birthday party which may have added to the confusion.

By evening authorities had searched the area including the water with divers, who stopped around 9:30 p.m.  Neighbors began searching around the complex that evening with flashlights hoping to find him.  The neighborhood came alive with people walking and in their cars driving slowly crying out the little boy’s name.

Vihaan was wearing an orange and blue-striped shirt and camouflage shorts.
