UPDATE: 12/15/15 – Kajavia’s mother said they were able to identify Kajavia’s body because of the personal items found with her child.
Original Post: Kajavia Globe, 24, has been missing from Detroit since she left work near McNichols and the Southfield Service Drive last week and police believe they may have found her body in the backyard of a home on Fielding Street on Monday evening.
“We’ve got the body of a black female, appears to be in her 20s, in the backyard of this location,” Dolunt told CBS local Detroit news. “At this time, it appears to be our missing [person], we can’t confirm it until the medical examiner gets here. At this time, we cannot confirm the cause of death.”
Authorities stated that there was evidence of foul play in her disappearance after her car was found abandoned on Chatham Street early Monday morning, but they are not saying what the evidence is.
Two miles away a man wearing a creepy mask was photographed at an ATM at 7 Mile Road and Telegraph withdrawing money using Kajavia’s ATM card on Friday. The person was driving her 2003 gold Impala. Globe’s bank cards were recovered inside her vehicle when her car was found. There has been no known activity on her cellphone, which has not been located.
