UPDATE: 2/16/16 – “The Indiana County Coroner today said he will not perform an autopsy on Tia Dobson. Police said they are investigating her death and have not indicated what may have caused it, although it is not suspicious,” according to Central PA. A Banks Township woman has been found dead in the snow just steps from her car and police are working on solving what happened. Tia Maria Dobson, 30, had moved to Knox Dale, Penn. recently after breaking up with her fiancé, but still drove into Punxsutawney so her children could go to the same school. Her cousin, Shania Smith told We Central PA news that Tia Dobson, 30, life revolved around her children. Before she went missing, Tia was seen at the West End Elementary School on Monday, Feb. 9. Her usual routine would be to go pick up her youngest child from day care, but instead she went missing. Troopers spent the next few days searching for her and found her 2008 Dodge Nitro on Tuesday evening off of Stuffy Church Road near Rossiter. There was a path that lead to a field and that is where Tia’s body was found. There was no apparent cause of death and investigators cannot understand why this young mother would drive to the area, and get out of her car.
