Alyssa Schaeffer missing from Texas FOUND

UPDATE 10/18/16- Alyssa has been found.  She was located by and family friend and spoke with KHOU 11 News.  She said that stress from pre-AP classes (among other things) pushed her and a 16-year-old classmate to run away and sleep in the woods overnight. She says she has learned her lesson and hopes other teens don’t do what she did.

Original story:  Alyssa Schaeffer, 15, from Spring, Texas was last seen in front of Klein Collins High School, near FM 2920 and Ella wearing a red flannel shirt and black tights.  She was seen leaving the school with Noah Lewis, 16, earlier on Monday and police are trying to locate him.

“The Klein Police Department in cooperation with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the disappearance of a 15-year-old female Klein Collins student (who)did not come home after school yesterday. Additionally, we have now received information that a 16-year-old male student from Klein Collins is also missing. The male student fits the description of the unidentified male seen leaving campus with the missing female. During the ongoing investigation, it was reported that the two missing students were seen together after school and the female student asked one friend if the two could come to her house after school.”

Her mother, Victoria told ABC 13 that Alyssa was last seen wearing black leggings, black boots and a red flannel shirt. She has pink bands on her braces.  ABC13 Reporter Courtney Fischer wrote on Twitter that the police are searching the woods on ATV’s for her.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-221-6000.
