US Rep Conyers' son missing from Houston FOUND

11/18/16 – Authorities are stating that Carl was found safe around 2 a.m. this morning.

Carl Conyers, 21, was last seen by his roommate at their apartment in the 3700 block of Southmore Boulevard on Nov. 15.  He was suppose to meet his girlfriend at the University of Houston on campus on Wednesday but he never showed up, according to WWJ Newsradio 950 in Detroit .

“When we got there — I didn’t feel right about it or thought maybe he was lying or someone was making him lie to meet us there because when we got there, he wasn’t there,” Daisha Lewis said.  “When we got back to the apartment, his stuff was gone. He took his ID with him and a debit card and some clothes even. Like it was a distraction to get more stuff that he left behind.”

Carl is the youngest son of U.S. Rep. John Conyers (Dem), who was first elected to Congress in 1964, making him the longest serving member.

He’s described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police say he has shaven a beard he’s seen wearing in a handout photo. Carl is not answering his phone and he is not driving or riding a bike.

Anyone with information on Conyers’ disappearance is urged to contact Houston Police at 713-884-3131 or the Houston Police Missing Persons Division at 832-394-1840.
