Cassie Fitch and Kirsten Dotson missing Pigeon Forge, Tennessee since 3/09/17
UPDATE 3/16/17 – Cassie and Kirsten have been found safe.
Cassie Fitch and Kirsten Dotson were last seen on March 9, 2017 when they walked out of Pigeon Forge High School in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. A teacher saw them walking down the road, away from the school, and reported it to the school officer. The officer viewed video footage to identify which students they were, at which time the school notified the parents of both girls.
Cassie Fitch was last seen wearing a purple hoodie, jeans and had her hair braided on the side. She also wears large, purple glasses and has a large scar on her left foot. Kirsten Dotson was last seen wearing a grey Hollister sweat shirt, blue jeans and black converse shoes. She has a tattoo of a bird on her right wrist.
A restaurant nearby has surveillance video of Cassie Fitch and Kirsten Dotson sitting inside shortly after the time they left the school. The girls stayed for a few hours then left. They were not seen leaving with anyone else or getting into any vehicle.
It is believed the girls may have be heading to West Virginia. The girls have ties to Pike County, Kentucky and Mingo County, West Virginia. In the past few days there have been 2 possible sightings of them in Dandridge, Tennessee, which is about 45 minutes outside of their hometown of Pigeon Forge. However, law enforcement has confirmed the girls seen were not Cassie Fitch or Kirsten Dotson.
The Pigeon Forge Police Department is working diligently to find both girls. They have tried to ping their phones but the phones are either dead, or the sim cards have been removed. Cassie’s mother has gotten a list of phone numbers from her phone company, that Cassie last called. Detective Matt Pindleton with the Pigeon Forge Police Department has contacted the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) as well as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Other area law enforcement agencies have been contacted as well and sent the girls information so they can be on the look out.
Family members and friends of both girls are passing out fliers that The Aware Foundation Inc. made for the girls. Cassie and Kirsten’s missing poster on The Aware Foundation Inc. Facebook page has already been seen by over 126,000 people and been shared over 2,600 times.

Cassie Fitch’s and Kirsten Dotson’s families hope that with each new view and each new share, they are being brought that much closer to their daughters being home. Each time I have spoken with the mothers they have mentioned how cold it is outside. They are worried if their daughters are staying warm, or getting enough to eat. Both mother’s have said, “Just please help bring our babies home.”
