Jane Doe found in Texas wearing Bearcat Pride shirt

The Ellis County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for help to identify remains that were found outside of Ennis, Texas near Alma, and hope that the t-shirt found with the remains might help identify the woman.  The t-shirt says, “Bearcat Pride – That’s What It Is!” A hog hunter found the skeletal remains on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in a parcel of agricultural land near Section House Road.

“The responding deputies, shortly after arrival, confirmed the remains to be human,” stated Ellis County Sheriff’s Cpt. Chris Hamilton.

The University of North Texas Center for Human Identification has determined the remains are an African-American female between 16 to 21 years old, and medium build, between 5’6″ and 6′ tall.  There is no determination on how long the remains have been there.
