Investigators determined bones discovered in a wooded area of Spartanburg County were those of Evelyn Audrey Shelton, 42. A human skull and other bones were found off Enola Station Road near Intestate 85 on Monday reports GoUpstate.com.

Police are searching for a missing Spartanburg, South Carolina woman, Evelyn Shelton, 42, who was last seen around 10:00 p.m. on Friday after leaving a friend’s house after a study date.  The police have talked to the man who lives on North Dean Street and he is not a suspect.The police are asking for the public’s help in locating Evelyn and asks the public to come forward if they have seen her or her orange Chevrolet HHR.Evelyn’s Chevrolet HHR was found the following day at William’s Grill, just outside Spartanburg city limits on the north side.
