UPDATE: 9/12/12 – Keith’s body was located in Crown Point,
off the Peasley Road, about a mile from where Gill’s blue BMW was located. An autopsy was preformed Saturday. The cause of death has been determined as a self inflicted gunshot wound.
Previous story: Keith Gill, 45, from Chestertown has been missing since August 18. He was last seen at his family’s cottage in the Adirondacks.
State Police say Keith Gil was last seen early Sunday morning at Loon Lake in Chestertown in Warren County i New York.
Gill’s 1999 BMW was located Monday on a road in the town of Crown Point, about 30 miles away on Lake Champlain.
Troopers, state forest rangers, sheriff’s deputies and local police and fire departments searched the area Thursday and plan to resume the search Friday.
The Press-Republican of Plattsburgh reports that Gil lives in Brussels, Belgium and also has ties to Bryn Mawr, Pa.
Gill is 6 foot 1 inches tall, weighs 230 pounds and has blond hair and hazel eyes.
