Chom Smith and Jean Harwell: Two missing from Los Angeles

Chom Ho Smith, 76, and Jean Renee Harwell, 67,  were last seen around 7:15 a.m. walking from their home in the 1000 block of South Orange Grove Avenue, in Los Angeles.  Both women suffer from dementia.

Smith is Asian with black hair and brown eyes.  She stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds.  She was last seen wearing a beige shirt, gray pants and black shoes.

Harwell has gray hair and hazel eyes.  She stands 5 feet tall and weighs about 97 pounds.  She was last seen wearing a gray jacket and white pants.

Anyone with information was urged to call the Los Angeles Police Department, Missing Persons Unit, Detective Carlton at 213-996-1800.

  1. Does anyone have any updates on these two ladies? I find very little information on them online, but it looks like they are still missing. I'm just curious. For some reason this case intrigued me.
