UPDATE 4/6/14 – Saturday morning a body found along the Edens spur ramp in Northbrook belonged to Harvey Caplin.  The Cook County medical examiner’s office released information the body belong to Harvey and there was no foul play.

Previous story:  Harvey Caplin, 82, from Glencoe, Ill. has been missing since January 22, 2014.

Police had searched for Harvey since he was last seen walking away from his home near forest preserves and the Chicago Botanic Garden.  Snow made the search difficult, but the police continued again when the snow began to thaw.

“Unfortunately, it’s been almost two months and we still haven’t found any signs of him,” said Glencoe Public Safety Lt. Richard Bookie. “We’re looking for a little warmer climate to be able to continue that search.”

Bookie asked that anyone who sees anything that might be helpful to the search call the department at (847) 835-4112.
