May 7, 2018 – The authorities have announced they are renewing their search for missing Amanda DeGuio from Drexel Hill and announced a “$5,000 reward for information leading authorities to DeGuio or for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her death.” Authorities also stated during a news conference that people previously interview may know something about DeGuio’s disappearance.
Upper Darby Police Department is attempting to locate Amanda DeGuio, 24, who has been missing from her Drexel Hill home since the first week of June 2014.
DeGuio is known to frequent the areas of Upper Darby, Clifton Heights, and the Overbrook section of Philadelphia. When DeGuio left her residence she left empty-handed, no cell, credit cards, clothing, etc.
Nicole DeGuio, Amanda’s sister told NBC 10 that Amanda had problems with drugs. Police also told NBC10 she allegedly falsely ordered a prescription at a local pharmacy and an arrest warrant was issued for her about a week after she went missing. Nicole told NBC10 her sister appeared to be on her way to turning her life around shortly before her disappearance.
“She had gotten clean and had went through withdrawal,” Nicole said. “She told us about how she wanted to change her life and be a better mom and a better person. She was talking about getting a job.”
