Missing Person Texas Julie Mott
“He’s still a person of interest. There’s some things, there’s a little bit more information we’d like from him. We’d love for him to cooperate a little bit more,” said SAPD Sgt. Jesse Salame.
A relationship between Mission Park Funeral Chapel & Cemeteries and a third-party mortuary service company, Beyer & Beitel was realized. Beyer & Beitel had after hour access and alarm codes.
Original story
September 2015 – It has been over a month and Julie Mott’s body that was taken from a funeral home is still missing, and on Saturday friends and family searched through fields near a north side park for her remains.
Julie Nicole Mott died from cystic fibrosis which she has had since she was two years old on August 8, 2015. Her funeral was held on August 14 at the Mission Park Funeral Chapel and sometime between 1:30 p.m.and 4:30 p.m. authorities believe her body was taken. The funeral doors were locked after 4:30 p.m. and there were no signs of forced entry.

“She was removed from here and taken to a visitation suite and would have moved on Monday to be cremated at the crematory, to Mission South,” says, Dick Tips, Mission Park Funeral home, owner
“She was removed from here and taken to a visitation suite and would have moved on Monday to be cremated at the crematory, to Mission South,” says, Dick Tips, owner of Mission Park Funeral Home told San Antonio news. Tips was visibly upset when he spoke with WOAI news.
“This is a family business of five generations and I just am not believing that this is happening.”
No one knows why someone would cause grief to an already grieving family. There are theories that a man who attended Julie’s service that was known to be obsessed with her might have taken her body. Another is that maybe someone did not agree with her body being cremated and stole her remains because of that.
Police declined to release the man’s name or further details about him, but did say he was constantly trying to call or text her, said KXAN news. The man has not been charged or arrested.
But, there are a lot of questions.
Why would someone steal her body? And if they were so mentally unstable to do so, where did they plan to keep her body? If there is a possible suspect has there been a search warrant served at the home of that person? Has his home been searched for Julie’s remains? Or did further investigation lead to the finding that there was no such man.
There is also another thought, maybe her body was not stolen at all. Maybe there was a miscommunication and Julie’s remains were taken and cremated and the owner of the funeral home was not told and the employee that did it won’t come forward and admit the mistake?
No one knows because the San Antonio police have not let out any new information on this case to the public. And I believe the family knows little themselves as they are out there searching in the weeds for their beloved child’s remains.
There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts.
