8-year-old missing from Phoenix FOUND

UPDATE 10/12/16 – The mother of Timgoy Dak left her boyfriend, Myok Nyuon in charge of the kids while she went on a trip to Africa. The boyfriend said he left Dak’s 15-year-old sibling in charge while he was at work on Saturday. Nyuon didn’t see her on Saturday and thought she would come home and so he went to bed.  On Sunday, when he got home he called the police as she still had not showed up home.  Police have stated he should have reported her missing sooner, but Nyuon stated he thought she was just at a friends house. Dan was found swimming with a friend at a nearby apartment complex on Monday afternoon.  She was taken to the Arizona Dept. of Child Safety and her mother is due back from Africa on Wednesday.  This is a reminder to parents of their children’s friends that if a child spends the night at their house to make sure you call the parents and they know where their child is.  As well as if a child is leaving to go home alone, to do some due diligence to make sure the child gets home.
