UPDATE 8/7/17 – Lee Rodarte, 28 years old, a manager at the Bonefish Grill has been arrested for the murder of Savannah. According to First Coast News, Savannah has gotten into Rodarte’s car and police said that “surveillance video shows that Gold did not exit the suspect’s vehicle after the fight and, during a later interview, the suspect confessed to killing the 21-year-old inside the car.” Rodarte also was the one that punctured the tire on Savannah’s car.
According to Lieutenant Gallaher, Rodarte told police he put Savannah’s body in a pond off of Club Duclay Drive. Savannah’s body was found in that pond.
Original Story: Savannah Gold, 21, has been missing since August 2, 2017 from Mandarin, Fla. She was last see driving to her job at the Bonefish Grill on San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin, she made it to the parking lot but never when inside the place.
Her dad and brother both received text messages around 6:30 p.m.from her that were strange saying she was taking off with a guy. The text to her dad read: “hey i just eanted to tell you and mom i met a really great guy and were running away together i love him and were leaving to ight ill call you later when we get tk where we are long.” The text to her brother read: “heyi quit im leavingwith my boyfriend i cant do this shit anymore im fine justwant to get away,” the text stated.
“But the spelling was all whacked out. It looked really strange,” Daniel Gold her father told Action News Jax.
Then her car was found at Bonefish Grill with the tire slashed and her purse was found in the car and it was unlocked.
Savannah’s phone appears to have been turned off. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is calling her disappearance suspicious. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (904) 630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at (866) 845-TIPS.
