Christopher Michael Kopeski, 47, has been missing from Snake River Lake Estates in Rye, Texas since March 23, 2019.
His daughter, Dilan Sheppeard, says her father and brother were planning to meet up to work on a vehicle, but her dad never showed up.
The Liberty County Sheriff’s Dept. considered Kopeski and missing person and state they have been working on the case.
Two months after Christoper Kopeski went missing a tragedy occurred involving his son, Jacob. On May 23, 2019, according to information provided by PIO, Capt. Ken DeFoor of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Dept. was called for a shooting that happened in the Trinity River Lake Sub-Division near CR 2607. When the authorities arrived they found Isaiah “Jacob” Kopeski, 18, and Carl Dee Lueck, 46, aka as Pug. Lueck was dead at the scene. Kopeski told police that he was working on his truck at his grandparents home when Lueck came out and began yelling and him and charged him. Kopeski shot Lueck with his 20-gauge sawed-off shot gun. Lueck is said to have yelled at Kopeski that “..you don’t have the guts to pull the trigger…” at which point, Kopeski fired one shot striking Lueck in the upper left chest.
Lueck was the boyfriend of Isaiah Kopeski’s mother, Jaquelyn.
Many on social media believe that Isaiah was fearing for his life because of Lueck’s past charges including possession of a firearm.
Isaiah was charged with Murder and Possession of a Prohibited weapon.
Isaiah’s sister, Dilan has set up a Go Fund Me page for Isaiah to help get him an attorney that will represent him.
The investigation is still on-going in both cases.
