Connie Johnson missing Idaho
Connie Johnson, 76, of Nezperce, was last seen last Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Big Rock Base Camp by members of a Richey Outfitters hunting camp where she was a cook. The hunters temporarily left the camp, located up the Selway River in the Fog Mountain area near Big Rock, while Johnson and her border collie, Ace, remained behind. The next day the hunters had radio contact with Connie but they were unable to understand what she was saying as the radio transmission was weak. When the hunters returned on October 5, Johnson and Ace were gone. Johnson’s gun was found laying on top of her jacket.
What is so unusual about this case is that Connie was a retired Forest Service employee after 25 years of service, so she certainly would have known how NOT to get lost.
About 3 weeks later, Ace, turned up at the Moose Creek ranger station, which is about 15 miles from the camp. Connie was not with him and although they tried to get Ace to search for Connie, but it didn’t work.
Terrance Woods went missing from that area, too. Woods is a film student that was on location doing filmimg when he suddently ran away from the rest of the crew. Click here to read the full story.
Connie was last seen wearing a green shirt, green pants and Kenetrek boots. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, 5’7″ and 140 pound. She would now be 78 years old.
